Star Bong Ledger Terms of Use
This is an English translation of the Korean terms. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. Purpose and consent
These terms set the conditions for installing and using Star Bong Ledger (스타봉 가계부, StarBongLedger). Please install the app only if you have read and agree to them. If you do not agree, you may cancel the installation.
2. License and rights
Star Bong grants you a non-exclusive license to install and use the app to manage your own household ledger. No ownership or copyright in the app is transferred to you.
Without Star Bong's prior written consent, you may not copy, modify, redistribute or sell the app's code, design or documentation, or offer derivative products based on them. This does not apply to copies needed for normal installation, running and personal backup, or to acts permitted by applicable law.
Third-party fonts and open-source components are governed by their own licenses, as noted separately. These terms do not limit the rights granted by those licenses.
3. Data storage and backups
Your ledger is stored on your PC and kept separate by nickname. The app does not automatically back up or sync your ledger anywhere else.
Please back up important data to a separate, safe location using Settings → Export, and keep the file password safe. You may become unable to open your data for reasons such as loss of the database or encryption key, PC failure, a change to your Windows user environment, or a forgotten password. If you forget a nickname password, that ledger cannot be opened, and Star Bong cannot recover it either.
Uninstalling or resetting the app in Windows may delete its local ledgers, settings, nickname list and encryption keys. The app does not show its own confirmation before it is uninstalled. Reinstalling alone does not restore them, so export any ledgers you need to a place outside the app folder.
4. Accuracy and your own judgment
The app is a tool to help you keep and organize personal records. It does not provide professional accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. Please independently verify your entries and the calculated results before relying on them for important decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, Star Bong does not warrant that the app is fit for a particular purpose, will operate without interruption, is free of all errors, or that data can be recovered in every environment.
5. Limitation of liability
Star Bong is not liable for data loss or other damages arising from causes not attributable to Star Bong, such as your intentional acts or negligence, failure to manage backups or passwords, problems with your PC, operating system or storage device, acts of third parties, or force majeure.
Whether Star Bong is liable for damages, and to what extent, is determined by applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability for intent or gross negligence by Star Bong or those acting on its behalf, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. They do not limit any rights you have under law.
6. Application and disputes
If these terms need to change, the changes will be announced and any consent procedure required by law will be followed. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and jurisdiction over disputes is determined by applicable law.
